PAST Webinar /// First learnings on the Mexican O&M marketplace: Planning for efficient long term operations

18 July 2018 - 11 am Mexico City (CDT) // 6 pm CEST

With many large utility-scale PV projects entering operations during the course of 2018 alone, and over a handful of GWs in the development pipeline, Mexico is set to become one of the most prominent solar markets globally.
Early planning for operations at the first development stages is of crucial importance to guarantee an efficient and cost-effective performance on the long run and to mitigate associated risks.

Hector Olea, president of ASOLMEX and CEO of Gauss and Alejo Lopez, Sr. Sales Director for Mexico & LATAM at NEXTracker, reflected on the first operational learnings in the Mexican PV market and shared lessons learnt.

Topics addressed:

  • Why design matters for O&M

  • Commissioning: starting operations with the right foot

  • Risk management: common operational risks and mitigation strategies

  • How to deal with unpredictable severe weather conditions
