En el año de 2008, asumió la responsabilidad de la Dirección General de Acciona Energía México, la que constituye uno de los modelos a seguir en el ramo de la Energía Renovable, brindando Sustentabilidad y Compromiso Social en México.

He has worked as general manager for several international companies in the Middle East, as well as director of international business development. Alammawi’s accomplishments include establishing regional setups, developing business infrastructure, managing operations, directing MENA expansions, and meeting sales growth and strategic market presence objectives. Smith’s duties include global O&M business strategy development and leadership, sales, solution and process innovation, and talent acquisition. Smith joined SMA in 2010 as the senior manager of SMA’s North American service operations and quickly moved up the ranks to his current position. Before that, he spent 25 years with Hewlett-Packard in Roseville, California, where he held numerous senior management positions leading various global service and research and development teams.

Mr. Díaz is Project Development Officer at the North American Development Bank (Nadbank), concentrated in the origination and closing of energy transactions. He has participated in numerous kinds of environmental projects, including wind, solar, methane gas, water-wastewater, solid waste, and air quality projects in both sides of the US-Mexico border. He has been actively participating with various stakeholders in Mexico’s energy reform, including consultation groups coordinated by SENER, CENACE and the CRE. Nadbank renewable energy transactions include more than 2 GW of generation capacity in the US and Mexico.

Mr. Toro has extensive experience in structuring and financing energy deals. Over his 18 year career, he has successfully raised and arranged an aggregate in excess of USD 6 billion of long term financing for infrastructure and energy projects in Latin America, Middle East and Africa. Juan Francisco began his tenure at Astris in 2005 by working on energy assignments and toll roads while located in Washington DC. In 2007, he was assigned to co-lead the Project and Structured Finance team of Dexia Mexico, before rejoining Astris in 2009 as a director focused on Energy and Social infrastructure projects. Currently Mr, Toro is leading several financings in the renewables sector in the region including the financing of a 350mw solar project in Mexico. Prior positions include Vice President at Taylor-DeJongh, where Mr. Toro advised on power and energy projects scattered throughout Asia, Africa, and the Americas, and a three-year tenor at Lloyds TSB in Colombia as a Senior Foreign Currency Trader in charge of managing the foreign currency position of the bank.

Mark Harris is responsible for SMBC's project finance business in Mexico. In this capacity, Mark has raised financing for over $5Bn worth of power, infrastructure and mining assets, and provides advisory in bringing equity to development & operating assets. On the solar side, Mark has closed on 5 utility scale solar financings in Mexico and Chile over the last threeyears. SMBC recently closed a financing in Mexico for Prior to relocating to Mexico, Mark was responsible for SMBC’s Project Finance business in Chile, where he was located for 4 years. Previously, Mark worked in New York for SMBC’s LatAm Project Finance team, and for the Energy team at BBVA covering North America. Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Joana Pascual joined the IDB Invest Infrastructure & Energy team in 2011. She is a lead investment officer focusing on both energy and transport deals with expertise on project finance structures for wind, solar, hydro, port and toll road projects. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management from the London School of Economics and a Dual Master in Economic and Financial Development from Columbia University in the City of New York and SciencesPo Paris. Prior to joining the IDB Group, Joana worked as a financial analyst for the International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group, with projects in Latin America and French and Portuguese speaking Africa. She speaks English, Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian and Portuguese and is based in IDB Invest Mexico office.

Carlos is mainly responsible for the investment and asset management within the Power sector in Mexico. He currently sits on the Board of the portfolio companies GESR, a hydro facility in the state of Nayarit; and PSC, a solar PV plant in Coahuila.
Prior to MMIF, Carlos worked in Macquarie’s investment banking division (MacCap), covering mainly Power, Telecom, and Transportation sectors across Latin America.
From 2005 to 2010, Carlos worked as a business consultant at Accenture, streamlining finance processes upon M&A transactions for Telecom and Transportation companies across Europe, India, and South Africa. Earlier in his career, Carlos also worked as a research engineer in the US and Spain.
Carlos holds a MBA from Columbia Business School in New York, and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from ULPGC University in Spain.

Francisco Con Garza es Director de Desarrollo de Negocios de CEMEX Energía, donde participa en el desarrollo de centrales de generación y plataformas de comercialización de energía eléctrica bajo el régimen de mercado que nace de la Ley de la Industria Eléctrica‎, así como en la gestión comercial de centrales en autoabastecimiento. Es consejero de la Asociación de Comercializadores de Energía y de Asolmex, e integrante de las Comisiones de Energía del CCE, Concamin y Caintra NL.

Además tiene a su cargo la estrategia de suministro eléctrico para las operaciones globales de CEMEX. Su experiencia previa incluye la compra de energía en mercados eléctricos desregulados, particularmente en Europa, donde también estuvo a cargo de la gestión de la cartera de derechos de emisión de CO2 del grupo.

Es Ingeniero Físico Industrial por el Tecnológico de Monterrey, MSc. en Ingeniería Energética y del Medio Ambiente por la EPF École d'Ingénieurs (Francia) y tiene una maestría en Administración, Tecnología y Economía por el ETH - Instituto Politécnico Federal de Zúrich (Suiza).

En el 2018, Angie Soto asumió la Dirección General de Nexus Energía México, empresa especializada en ofrecer servicios a aquellas grandes y medianas empresas consideradas como Suministros Calificados, así como servicios especializados de mercado eléctrico a Generadores de energías renovables.

Angie Soto es Ingeniero Industrial en Calidad de la Universidad la Salle Chihuahua (2005) con un Master en Ingeniería y Gestión de las Energías Renovables de la Universidad de Barcelona (2011).
